County Urges Compliance with Orders as Coronavirus Cases Rise to 105

San Diego County health officials Thursday urged residents to follow health orders as the number of coronavirus cases in county rose to 105.

The latest report shows an increase in positive coronavirus cases in the county of 25 between Wednesday and Thursday afternoons.

Public Health Officer Dr. Wilma Wooten, at a Thursday afternoon news conference, said, "This is hard but it is necessary. Dr. Wooten added, "Taking these actions will protect you, your neighbors and your community."

Dr. Wooten reiterated the county's current orders and advisories:

No gatherings of 10 or more are prohibited and gatherings of any size are strongly discouraged.

Those 65 or older or anyone with serious underlying medical conditions should stay at home.

All schools, along with bars, clubs, fitness centers and public gyms should remain closed.

Childcare should be restricted to 10 children with same staff at same location.

Restaurants shall not have on-sight dining, only take-out and delivery.

All residents should practice social distancing and hygiene guidelines.
